The outer box of WS-530B looks like this.
The WS-530B is a studio set that includes the WB-50 photography box, one top light, and two side lights. Inside the outer box, small boxes containing various equipment are packed.
It is like this when all the contents of the outer box are arranged. Top light, 2 side lights, shooting box, top light stand, storage bag, manual from top left.
The procedure for assembling the shooting box, top light, and side light is as follows.
◆Shooting box
The shooting box is stored in a black carrying case in a thinly folded state.
The back of the carrying case has a storage space for small items.
In the carrying case, there are four diffusers that form the frame of the photography box, a black and white reversible back cloth, and a translucent milky white back cloth.
The assembly procedure of the shooting box is like this. First, let the diffuser stand on its own as shown below. At this time, install it so that the Velcro tape is on the top, and the part that will be the top surface out of the four sides hangs down on the left side.
Next, attach the back cloth with Velcro.
Finally, if you fix the top surface hanging on the left side with Velcro tape, the shooting box is completed.
It's hard to understand with just pictures and text, so I recorded a movie of how to actually assemble the shooting box. Once you get used to it, you can assemble it in tens of seconds.
◆ Top light
Assemble the top light using the parts and stand included in the box.
It is like this when all the contents of the box are taken out. From left to right: LED light, arm, light mounting shoe (female type), and stand.
First, unfold and place the stand.
Next, attach the light mounting shoe (female type) to the top of the stand.
Next, combine the arm with the light mounting shoe (female type). The following metal fittings are attached to the bottom of the arm, and it can be attached by sliding it into the recess of the light mounting shoe (female type).
After attaching the arm, turn the fixing ring to fix the arm so that it does not move.
Next, attach the LED light to the tip of the arm. First, combine the recess on the LED light side and the metal fittings on the arm side.
Then turn the retaining ring.
The top light is now complete.
◆Side light
All the sidelight parts are in one box.
The parts look like this. From left to right: LED light, arm, light mounting shoe (female type), and stand.
The stand opens in an inverted V shape as shown below.
Next, attach the light mounting shoe (female type) to the stand.
After attaching the light mounting shoe (female type), follow the same procedure as the top light to attach the arm and LED light.
Assemble the two sidelights in the same way.
The following shows how the top light and side light are installed around the shooting box and the power is turned on. The light of the LED light is diffused by the diffuser and reaches the inside of the shooting box.
The state where the back cloth is turned inside out and made black is as follows. You can switch the background according to the type of subject and shooting purpose.
It can also be installed in narrow spaces such as the luggage compartment of a car.
In addition, the top light and two side lights can be put together in the included storage bag.
The storage box and various lights can be put together compactly, making it convenient to carry.
