Image generation AI ``Midjourney'' makes reproductive-related words widely NG with porn & gro image countermeasures
AI 'Midjourney', which creates images based on the entered text, treats words related to reproductive organs such as 'uterus', 'fallopian tubes', 'sperm', 'vulva' and 'hymen' as NG. . The reason is that it is a temporary measure against attempts to create pornographic images and graphic images using 'Midjourney'.
New story from me: Midjourney bans a wide range of prompts about the human reproductive system, such as 'placenta' and 'fallopian tubes.' The reason? Porn and gore https://t.co/7z8DTLGTIc

Midjourney Bans Words About the Reproductive System to Fight AI Porn | PetaPixel

According to AI-savvy reporter Melissa Heikkilä, in Midjourney, there are a number of data related to reproductive organs, such as placenta, fallopian tubes, mammary glands, sperm, uterus, urethra, cervix, hymen, and vulva. If you enter such a prompt, a prohibited prompt flag will be set and image generation will not be performed. Users who attempt to generate images with these prohibited prompts may be temporarily blocked from using Midjourney.
David Holtz, who made Midjourney, also admits that he is blocking pornographic images and graphic images from being created until improvements are made on the AI side.
In addition, Elizabeth M. Renieris of the University of Oxford AI Ethics Institute mentions that it is an interesting case that there are more target words related to female reproductive organs than those related to male reproductive organs.
Some terms relating to the male reproductive system such as “sperm” & “testicles” are blocked too, but the list of banned words seems to be skew predominantly female.
