Kazunori Yamauchi , the inventor of the Gran Turismo series and president of Polyphony Digital , which developed Gran Turismo 7, revealed in an interview with GTPlanet that he is considering porting Gran Turismo 7 to PC.

GTPlanet interviewed Mr. Yamauchi during the Gran Turismo World Series 2022 World Finals , which will be held in the 25th anniversary of the Gran Turismo series. Regarding this, GTPlanet hopes that if the Gran Turismo series can be ported to the PC, the series will be able to make further progress. When I asked Mr. Yamauchi about this, he said, 'Yes, I think so.'

Mr. Yamauchi told GTPlanet, 'Gran Turismo is a very finely tuned title.' Narrowing down is a very good choice, so it's not an easy thing to do, but of course we're investigating and considering porting Gran Turismo to PC.' I was.

GTPlanet points out that Gran Turismo 7 can technically already be considered a multi-platform title. Gran Turismo 7 can be played on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 4 Pro, PlayStation 5 (PS5), and the resolution and frame rate change depending on the hardware. On PS5, the resolution is 4K, the frame rate is 60fps, and even replays and menu screens support ray tracing. Therefore, even if it is ported to a PC, it is possible to adapt to the operating environment of each user with various resolutions, frame rates, and textures.

GTPlanet said, ``There are many popular and highly sophisticated driving simulators and driving games available for PC, but nothing beats Gran Turismo. 'This is a significant step forward and will allow us to attract many new players to games that have always had to be played on PlayStation hardware for the past 25 years.'

Mr. Yamauchi is celebrating GTPlanet's 20th anniversary with his Twitter account.
