Elon Musk Fires 4,400 Twitter Contract Workers



Elon Musk acquired Twitter on October 27, 2022. Casey Newton, who runs the technology media Platformer , reportedly dismissed 4,400 of Twitter's 5,500 contract employees on Sunday, November 13, 2022. Newton reported that contract employees were not given advance notice of dismissal and were unilaterally deprived of access to Slack and business emails, and it seems that managers were not notified of dismissal. The dismissed contract employee was involved in content moderation, real estate, and marketing.
