'Basic Pitch' is an open source MIDI converter that accurately converts recordings of songs and musical instruments to MIDI files.

Spotify's Audio Intelligence Lab, a subscription music distribution service, has developed an open source ` `Basic Pitch '', a lightweight and high-speed MIDI converter that can convert audio files to MIDI files. It is said that files recorded on a smartphone while humming a song will be accurately converted to MIDI files, so I actually tried using the demo version that can be used on a browser.

This time, in order to convert the recording file of the opening phrase of the nursery rhyme 'Yuyake Koyake' into a MIDI file, drag and drop it to the location that says 'Drop your audio file here or click to select one.' The recording file format is ``WAVE format, MP3 format, etc.'', and this time we will convert M4A files recorded on iPhone.

Your recording will be uploaded and converted to a MIDI file.

Then, the notes of the converted MIDI file were displayed, along with a MIDI file play button, a MIDI file download button, and a recording file playback panel.

You can see how it was actually converted by watching the movie below. Since the singing voice in the recording was a little choppy, there are variations in the MIDI volume settings and pitch, but you can see that it was converted properly.

The generated MIDI file can be adjusted to some extent on Basic Pitch. Click 'SHOW MIDI ADJUSTMENTS' below the notes of the MIDI file.

'Note Segmentation' 'Model Confidence Threshold' 'Minimum Pitch' 'Maximum Pitch' 'Minimum Note' Length (minimum note length) and MIDI File Tempo (MIDI file tempo) can be set using the slide bar.
