Twitter started testing the 'CoTweet' feature that allows two people to post one tweet
On July 8, 2022, Twitter announced details of a new feature 'CoTweet' that allows you to co-create tweets with two accounts. CoTweet will be experimentally published and tested for a limited period of time to some users in the US, Canada and South Korea.
Share a Tweet, share the cred.

Now testing CoTweets, a new way to Tweet together.

In the movie released by Twitter Create , the user first sends a message to other users ...
I will contact you asking 'Let's do CoTweet together'.
If you agree, press 'Accept' to agree to CoTweet's invitation ...
For tweets made by one user, two usernames and icons will be displayed, such as 'Silvie and Allen Grayham', and they will be displayed as tweets from two people. Unlike 'retweet', which introduces 'this is recommended for tweets of other users', it seems that you can aim to contribute to the spread by tweeting yourself as a sender.
CoTweet first creates a tweet by the first author, then selects the person you want to be a 'co-author' from the list of followers and taps 'Send invite'. After sending a CoTweet invitation, you will not be able to edit or delete the tweet content until it is approved or rejected. The user who receives the invitation chooses to accept or reject it, and if accepted, it will be posted on the timeline as their own tweet. Since only two creators can be displayed in the header, only one co-author can be invited for each CoTweet, but it is possible to send an invitation for each tweet.
As for other details, anyone can retweet and quote tweets on CoTweet posts, but only the first creator of the CoTweet who sent the invitation can pin the post to the profile, and the settings related to tweets. Is also manageable by the original creator. In addition, the original author can delete the tweet that was CoTweet, but the co-author can only cancel the CoTweet and revert to the original author's regular tweet, and the author and co-author have permission. Is very different. Also, in a thread where the conversation continues, CoTweet can only be the first tweet of the thread, and CoTweet cannot be promoted.
As The Verve points out, the CoTweet tweet embedding feature is not supported at the time of article creation, so the following tweets look like regular tweets. If you click on the tweet and access it directly, you will see that it says 'Kelly Vaughn and Emma Bostian'.
This is a CoTweet from me and Emma

Similar functions to CoTweet have been available on Instagram since 2021, and it is expected that influencers, brands, etc. will be utilized to reach more users.
