'The Nettle Magic Project' that instantly scans playing cards with seeds and gimmicks and makes them naked in the order
Many of you may have been surprised to see the trick of using card magic to pull out one of your goals from a bunch of shuffled pieces. With the advent of technology that scans cards in an instant, it may be easy to spot such tricks.
The Nettle Magic Project
The whole picture of 'The Nettle Magic Project' developed by magician and programmer Paul Nettle is that you can instantly grasp the arrangement of cards with a scanner by marking the edges of playing cards with special invisible ink. You can do it. You can quickly see how this technology works by watching the video below.

The short sides of the cards are marked with different barcode-like markings, as shown below. This marking can be printed with normal ink or with an ink that is invisible to the human eye, such as an ink that reacts to black light.
When you hold the card over the scanner, the system developed by Nettle will instantly derive the numbers, suits, and order of the cards.
From here, pull out the appropriate 3 sheets to try ...
When I hold it over the scanner again, it looks like this. The three removed sheets are firmly recognized and displayed in red.
If you look at the removed card, you can see that the scanner recognizes the card correctly.
By the way, the scanner looks like this.
The source code of the scanning system and the detailed environment construction method are published on GitHub.
