The Lake Biwa Mainichi Marathon is a marathon race that aims at the Ojiyama Athletics Stadium again after passing through the shores of Lake Biwa from the Ojiyama Athletics Stadium in Shiga Prefecture, going south on the west bank of the Seta River, crossing the east bank at the Nango Wash Dam, and then turning back. It is a historic race of 76 times, but this time it was the last race due to the integration with the Osaka Marathon.
There were two races with pacemakers, 1km 2 minutes 50 seconds and 1km 3 minutes. In the first half, the top group changed after about 20 people, and after 30km, it was narrowed down to 6 people. The decisive factor was the water supply point over 36km, where Suzuki suddenly increased his pace and pushed out the trailer and escaped.
The goal time of 2 hours 4 minutes 56 seconds is a new record in Japan, the first Japanese person in the 2 hours 4 minutes range. The previous record was 2 hours 5 minutes 29 seconds recorded by Suguru Osako at the Tokyo Marathon, so it was a quick 33 seconds update.
In addition, the time of 2nd place Hidekazu Hijikata was 5th in Japan's history, and the time of 3rd place Kyohei Hosoya was 6th in Japan's history, which was a good record in the last race course.

Finally, I was able to put out the 2 hours and 7 minutes range! !!
I was 23 when I ran in 2 hours 8 minutes 37 seconds.
Ever since then, 'I can put out 2 hours and 7 minutes'
I believed so and continued to run.
It took me 10 years, but I finally achieved my goal. #Lake Biwa Thank you to the daily marathon and everyone in front of the TV!
