The EV supercar 'Aspark OWL SP600' recorded a speed of 438.78 km/h, becoming the world's fastest EV



The OWL SP600 , an EV supercar being developed by technical staffing agency Aspark , has recorded the world's fastest speed of 438.78 km/h.

On June 8, 2024, Aspark had professional driver Marc Bassen test drive the OWL SP600 at Automotive Testing Papenburg in Papenburg, northern Germany.

On his second attempt, Basseng recorded a speed of 438.78 km/h, breaking the world speed record for an EV.

The previous record was 412 km/h, set by Croatian EV manufacturer Rimac Nevera in November 2022.

Aspark developed the OWL with the aim of creating 'the world's best commercially available car that can be driven on public roads,' and it has achieved a 0-100km/h time of under two seconds, the time required to accelerate from a standstill to 100km/h.
