No bra girls surge with new corona
The long-term lockdown caused by the new coronavirus infection (COVID-19) is increasing the number of French women who do not wear bras. In particular, younger women are more likely to spend time in no bra, and one in six women under the age of 25 continues the lifestyle of 'not wearing a bra on a regular basis.'

Bras off: Lockdown triggers rise in French women going braless
French market research firm Institut français d'opinion publique (IFOP) conducts a social survey on 'gender sexuality sexual health'. We conducted a questionnaire survey of 3018 French women over the age of 18 regarding various 'women's lifestyles' including wearing habits of bras.
In the March 2020 survey before the lockdown, 3% of the women who answered 'I don't wear a bra at all' or 'I don't wear a bra at all' about my most recent life, but lock. It was 8% in April 2020 while it was down, and 7% in June 2020 after the lockdown. From this result, IFOP claims that 'the lifestyle of no bra has become established by lockdown.'
The IFOP study also found that the tendency for lockdowns to practice no bra was particularly pronounced among young women. In March 2020, 4% of women under the age of 25 said they were spending time in no bra, but in April 2020 it surged to 20%, and in June 2020 it was a little calm and 18%. .. The graph below shows the percentage of women who answered that they were 'spend in no bra' by age in April 2020 during lockdown. It can be seen that women aged 18 to 25 have a significantly higher proportion of no bras than women of other ages.
Regarding 'motivation to spend in no bra', 53% of women under the age of 25 answered 'because they are comfortable'. In terms of feminism, 32% under the age of 25 said that 'practicing no bra is related to the desire to go against the sexual perception of women's breasts.'
IFOP director Jean-Philippe Dubrulle commented, 'The end of the special situation of lockdown was the real opportunity for the boom of practicing no bra.'
