Actually, when I use it in the most dynamic 'Beat' mode, it looks like this. The sound was picked up by a digital camera microphone, so it is for reference only.

The outer box of 'BALMUDA The Speaker' has a chic design in black.

The inner lid says 'Please have a good time', which gives the impression of whiskey rather than home appliances.

The main body of 'BALMUDA The Speaker' was wrapped in a non-woven cloth.

Included items are non-woven cloth, main body, AC adapter, instruction manual, and start guide.

This is the main body of 'BALMUDA The Speaker'. It looks more like a lantern than a speaker.

The size is 105 mm in diameter x 188 mm in height, and when you lift it up, it looks like this.

The actual weight is 1075g.

An omnidirectional 77mm full-range speaker is mounted upward on the top side.

The body part has a tube made of organic glass that surrounds the body. Not only is it highly transparent and beautiful in appearance, but it also contributes to producing a clear and sharp sound due to the closed structure.

Furthermore, inside that, there are three LED units ...

It has a built-in stage light. 'BALMUDA The Speaker' can convert sound into brilliance of light at a speed of 0.004 seconds by the built-in original algorithm. From up-tempo songs to quiet songs, the light blinks automatically according to the rhythm and slowness of the sound.

There is a power button, volume button, etc. on the back side of the bottom of the main unit.

Let's actually use it. First, charge the main unit with the included AC adapter. It can be charged for about 2.5 hours and can be used continuously for about 7 hours when connected via Bluetooth.

The connection method is Bluetooth connection or wired connection by stereo mini jack. This time I will try using it by connecting it to the iPhone via Bluetooth.

First, press the Power button to turn on the power.

Then press and hold the Live Light button for 2 seconds to enable the Bluetooth connection.

From here, set up on the smartphone side. For iPhone, tap 'Bluetooth' from the setting screen.

Select 'BALMUDA M01' from the displayed list of connection destinations to complete the connection.

You can now play music on your smartphone with 'BALMUDA The Speaker'. The movie at the beginning was used in the most dynamic 'Beat' mode. Please note that the sound was picked up by a digital camera microphone, so it is for reference only.

'BALMUDA The Speaker' uses an algorithm that links sound and light, and the light shines according to the tone of the song. Sometimes the stage lights illuminate the body like a concert ...

The LED lights may blink at high speed. In up-tempo songs, the blinking becomes more intense as the chorus rises, and you can feel the ability to convert sound into the brilliance of light at a speed of 0.004 seconds. The white light that glitters inside the body like a vacuum tube makes you want to stare at it mysteriously.

The way it shines is 'Beat' that shines dynamically according to the energy and rhythm of music, 'Ambient' that shines warmly according to vocals and performances, and 'Ambient' that always sways like a candle and shines quietly without being linked to music. You can choose from 3 types of 'Candle'. Below is a comparison of each mode.

As for the sound quality, the high range is smooth. Voices such as female vocals can be heard quite clearly and sharply. On the other hand, the midrange is reasonable, but the low range is less pressured. Also, there seems to be a delay of about 0.5 seconds, which made me feel uncomfortable when using it while watching a moving movie.

'BALMUDA The Speaker' can be purchased from the official website for a price of 35,200 yen including tax.
