I saw the branch station 'Hazawa Yokohama Kokudai station' of Sotetsu / JR direct line and Sotetsu / Tokyu direct line before opening

We opened the Sotetsu / JR Direct Line on November 30, 2019, and at the same time, we had the opportunity to visit Hazawa Yokohama Kokudai Station, which will branch off from the Sotetsu / Tokyu Direct Line. I have seen many places.

The station is around here. It is on the southwest side of the Sankei Keihin Road / Hazawa IC and is adjacent to Yokohama Hazawa Station on the Tokaido Freight Line.

◆ Outside of Hazawa Yokohama Kokudai Station
The station looks like this.

The station seen from the overpass on the east side of the station. The sides are bricks, and the part that is slightly higher than the surrounding area is a daylighting space for delivering light to the underground platform.

JR Freight Yokohama Hazawa Station spreads to the south of the station. Although it is called a 'station,' there is no facility to treat it as a passenger.

Looking at the other side of the station from the overpass, you can see the black building and the freight line. The black building is an electrical facility, and the space behind it, which is used as a parking lot, will have a substation in Akatsuki where the Sotetsu and Tokyu direct lines have opened.

The vacant lot that was visible above is just above the box-shaped tunnel, and you can see the platform edge of Hazawa Yokohama Kokudai Station.

On the east side of Hazawa Yokohama Kokudai station, Sotetsu / JR direct line and Sotetsu / Tokyu direct line branch. The Sotetsu / JR direct line is divided into both sides, and the central line is the Sotetsu / Tokyu direct line. The line going up to the left will immediately join the Tokaido freight line, but the line coming from the Shinjuku area on the right side is the first line. It is said that it branches under the bottom of Sankyohama and goes under the yard. Also, the Sotetsu / Tokyu direct line may pass underneath the Shinkansen from here, so it seems that the descent continues for 2 km.

The Sotetsu / JR direct line at the left end is 33

per mil and has a considerable upward slope.

◆ Inside Hazawa Yokohama Kokudai Station
The building materials mainly consist of iron, brick, and glass, and they aimed for a design that will not age out.

It looks like this from the inside of the ticket gate.

Line 1 is 'Yamato Ebina / Shonandai (Futamata Transfer) / Yokohama (Nishiya Transfer)' and Line 2 did not have a destination display at this time.

View of Nishitani direction from Platform 1 After leaving the station, you can see the car curving right while slowly descending.

The stairs and walls have a brick design.

On the other hand, you can see the tunnel of Sotetsu / Tokyu direct line and Sotetsu / JR direct line in the direction of the train.

Below the lighting space is like this. Since the daylighting part faces south, soft natural light reaches the underground platform.

◆ Sotetsu / JR direct rail connection type
A rail fastening ceremony was held at the station.

This Sotetsu / JR direct line and Sotetsu / Tokyu direct line were constructed by the Railway and Transportation Organization . Other lines that the Railway and Transportation Organization have worked on and are working on include the Hokkaido Shinkansen, the Hokuriku Shinkansen, and the Hokuetsu Express Hokuhoku Line.
