This is actually a "hole" that was exhibited at the museum. It is an Indian-born sculptor Anish Kapoor in his work, "Descent into Limbo ( Hengoku was named the fall to)".

This is an art installation from Portugal's @ fundacao_serralves. Unfortunately for one unlucky art aficianado, it's also a literal hole in the ground, which he did not find out fell into it. Head to digg.com to get the rest of the story on @ anish.kapoor's literally brain breaking work of art.

The hole was 8 feet deep (about 2.4 m) and was painted with "Vantablack (Vanta Black)" which is said to be "the world's blackest substance".

If you coat wrinkled aluminum foil with Vanta Black, you can not see wrinkles of aluminum foil at all by eye observation.

A hole coated with Vanta Black which absorbs 99.6% of light can not be measured with the eyes, it looks like there is no bottom.

In the museum, there were several warning signs indicating that there was a danger of falling into the hole, and staff were also placed near the exhibition, the museum side said "It was in accordance with the protocol" I explain. The Italian man in his 60's who fell into a hole damaged his back and was brought to the hospital but he said he has already gone home without being seriously injured.
