'Your Name.' Hollywood live-action version produced by JJ Abrams, written by Eric Heisserer of 'Message'

Makoto Shinkai's anime movie ' Your Name ', which set the second-largest record after 'Spirited Away' as a Japanese movie with box office revenue of 25 billion yen, was released by Paramount Pictures and Bad Robot. It will be made into a live movie.

Toho has granted the right to make a live-action movie of 'Your Name' to Paramount Pictures and Bad Robot, and announced that they are working together to develop a live-action movie.

Produced by JJ Abrams and Lindsey Webber, Toho's Genki Kawamura, who was the producer of the anime version, will also participate.

The script will be written by Eric Heisser, who won the 2017 Academy Award for Best Adaptation for the movie 'Message,' which depicts contact with aliens flying in a giant flying object .

In the release, comments from director Makoto Shinkai and producer Kawamura, who also served as the original, are announced.
