The buildings in the city such as offices, houses, hotels, hospitals and schools are covered with plants and trees, just like the world of LaputaLIUZHOU FOREST CITY"Is designed by architect Stefano Boeri. The great thing about LIUZHOU FOREST CITY is not limited to the common "concept of city" but it is actually building a town in cooperation with local governments in Liuzhou City, China.

Liuzhou City is a part of Guangxi Autonomous Region in the southern part of China, a region surrounded by mountains. LIUZHOU FOREST CITY is made along the river on the north side of Liuzhou City and is scheduled to be directly connected by train from the city. In addition to multiple residential districts, commercial areas, recreational facilities, schools and hospitals can be built in the city.

The station is a white nearly futuristic designed building that is visible in the center.

Not only are trees planted along the road, the whole building is covered with plants.

Looking from a distant place it looks like an ancient ruin.

When the light turns on at night, it looks like this.

It is also a feature of LIUZHOU FOREST CITY to self-sufficiently renewable energy such as geothermal and solar heat by installing solar panels on the roof of each building.

After completing LIUZHOU FOREST CITY, 30 thousand residents will live. It is estimated that by planting 40,000 trees and over 100 species and plants of 1 million shares, the forest absorbs 10,000 tons of carbon dioxide and 57 tons of pollutant annually and generates 900 tons of oxygen . In China where environmental problems are pointed out, these plants are believed to lower the temperature and provide biodiversity of life by providing the suits of birds and insects.

Mr. Boeri has been working on buildings covered with plants and actually builds a residential apartment called "Vertical Forest" in Milan, Italy.

This is VERTICAL FOREST. It was born as an idea to increase the forest of the city and to regenerate the environment without breaking the already existing urban building.

Looking from the bottom like this.

We are planting 900 trees and 20,000 plants in apartments 110 meters high and 76 meters high in the center of Milan.

The ground is like this.

A view of the veranda of the apartment viewed from above. A lot of trees and flowers are planted in the planters around the building while securing space for people to spend.

Looking from the side it is like this.

Also, with the success in Milan, VERTICAL FOREST will be built in Nanjing, China.

The completed figure of the apartment is as follows.

The plant is stretched around two large and small condominiums.

By planting 600 large trees, 500 medium sized trees, and 2,500 cascade plants throughout the building, the plant absorbs 25 tons of carbon dioxide per year and creates 60 kg of oxygen per day It is done.
