AnimeJapan also holds a stage called the 'Creation Stage,' which is a little different from the talks and live performances held at the RED, BLUE, and GREEN stages, and focuses on the 'creation' of the work. .

The last program was Aniplex's new service presentation.

Unlike the other stages, the Creation Stage takes place indoors near the entrance of the hall.

The event will be hosted by Yuma Takahashi from Aniplex.

Even if you purchase a BD or DVD and have it in your possession, you won't be able to view it while traveling or outside your home.In addition, there are probably many cases in your life where you bought a BD or DVD, but you're too busy to open it yet. said Takahashi.

Simply put, Aniplex is launching a ``Blu-ray & DVD digital viewing service for fans of the works''.

The name of the service is `` Viewcast ,'' and it allows you to watch purchased products such as Blu-rays and DVDs on your smartphone or tablet at any time.

Although there are several similar services that allow you to watch works digitally, the big difference is that you can watch not only the main video but also the bonuses (videos, music, booklets, etc.). There are also secondary audio and chapters, so you can recreate almost the same experience on your device as you would enjoy at home.

Service planning and development was carried out by five in-house volunteers.

A Viewcast form is included with the purchased work, so access the Viewcast official website on your smartphone or tablet and log in with your ANIPLEX+ account (registration is free). Select the target title, enter the serial code written on the Viewcast form, install the target title app (free), and log in to your ANIPLEX+ account within the app to view the main video and benefits.

The first work

was a completely limited edition of ``Kokoro ga Shoutitaiteru. '' released on March 30th, and the second work was named ``Kyomi Monogatari.''

Mr. Takahashi said that the main difference about this service other than ``you can see special benefits'' is that ``the video service comes with the work,'' rather than ``the work is included in the video service.''

On stage, there was a demonstration on an iPad of what the official app for the work actually used in Viewcast was.

When you start the app, you will see items similar to the main menu of Blu-ray, such as ``main story'', ``bonus footage'', ``PV/CM collection'', etc. You can choose between streaming or pre-downloading the main part, but this time I already downloaded the main part because the communication conditions were not very good at the location of the demo.

Of course, when you seek, you can instantly move to where you want to go, and you can jump from the first half to the second half, or from the second half to the first half, without any trouble at all. Also, a triangular mark is visible on the screen, but when you tap the screen, a shortcut icon that jumps 10 seconds ago or 10 seconds ahead will be displayed for a short time, allowing you to perform operations similar to the recorder.

Of course, the chapters are also reproduced as they are.

You can also switch to other recorded audio, such as commentary, by simply selecting the audio from the menu at the top right of the screen.

The subtitles are also like this.

If English subtitles are included, English subtitles are also included.

These days, a soundtrack may be included as a bonus, but it can be played immediately. It also supports background playback, so you can leave it in a locked state while playing.

This is a theater pamphlet included as a bonus.

It feels like an e-book, where you can turn the pages with a swipe.

The text on booklets may be tight, but you can enlarge them to read them.

In addition, from the system of going through the official app, we will be able to provide new images, videos, sound sources, etc. after release, digital viewing of production materials such as storyboards and dubbing scripts, and new bonus projects linked to networks and digital. The future was talked about as if it might be possible.

By the way, in

the FAQ of the site, there is a question, ``When is the expiration date for downloading and streaming distribution of the main video and special benefits (videos, music, booklets, etc.)?'', and the deadline is ``2 years''. However, this is like the expiration date of the Viewcast registration serial, and it is the period from when a Blu-ray or DVD is sold until it reaches the people who need it (in other words, it is sold out). It seems that the figure is about one and a half years, plus a six-month grace period. Of course, the downloaded content will not disappear; if you register before this expiration date, you can view it.If you register your serial before the expiry date, the service Viewcast and the company Aniplex will not disappear. I was told that it would be fine as long as I could.

Five members of Aniplex planned and developed Viewcast. Mr. Takahashi's own experience of being too busy to open new BDs seems to have been a driving force behind this, and it may be a service that greatly reduces worries for anime fans.
