"Beta tread slope" I went to a place where the Esashima Ohashi looks like a wall

In the commercial of Daihatsu Tanto custom broadcasted from the end of 2013 "Sticky slope"It appeared as one of the most famous"Esashima Ohashi(Ehoshima Ohoshi) "is. The number of people who visit thanks to CM is increasing, and the temporary parking lot is set up at Matsue city side. Although it seems that Sakaiminato Tourism Association is considerably focusing on sightseeing, it seems that there is a place that looks like a wall, so I went there.

"Esashima Ohashi" that spans Tottori prefecture and Shimane prefecture has appeared on the commercials! / Furusato Tottori Prefecture Industry and Tourism Center (Nagoya representative department) / Terminal net / Tottori prefecture official site

The commercial CM has already disappeared from the Daihatsu site's CM archive, but there was someone uploading to YouTube.

The content is the editor-in-chief of a car magazine, Etsushi Toyokawa, who is editor Tsuyoshi Ayano who gets across the Esashima Bridge in a tanto custom. At the slope that is called "solid stepping slope" in the industry, Mr. Toyokawa quietly asked Mr. Ayano "I'm sticking it out?", But Ayano who drives is threateningly denying it.

Although it has not been flowing now, it was an impressive CM, so I was concerned about the bridge, but at the same time, the posters on the sightseeing association's site were more concerned.

That's it.

It is a wall rather than a bridge. I wanted to see this, I decided to go to the site.

The place is here. Tottori Prefecture Sakaiminato City and Egashima in Matsue City, Shimane Prefecture. When heading from the direction of Yonago, it is the direction which is "Daikonjima" at the road sign point.

First I went to Sakaiminato side like what the bridge is like.

The central part is high so that a large ship can pass. Originally from the south, there was a Nakaura Lock gate, so that a car could pass there, but when navigating the ship the middle bridge bridge rose and it was impossible to pass through for seven to eight minutes, resulting in traffic jams Indeed, I could not pass a car of 14 tons or more and detoured Route 431 on the north side. In order to solve it, the Esashima Ohashi was crosslinked in 2004.

Sound insulation wall at the entrance.

I will go up to the top while curving.

The highest point is 44.7 m. I passed each other on a bridge over a direct bus connecting Matsue Station and Sakaiminato Station.

A free temporary parking lot is established on the left hand side as you cross the bridge from Sakaiminato side. FamilyMart Matsue Esashi Ohashi store is next to that (on the side of the photo).

A poster of Tourism Association was affixed also to Family Mart.

When I look at the bridge from around the parking lot, I am surprised that the figure of solid stamp slope that I saw on the CM is intact.

There is also a sidewalk so you can walk across. However, as you can see, it is a slope that does not matter if you do not stepping on a regular car.

For that reason, there was a signboard calling for safe driving.

It is the largest in Japan as a bridge with a PC ramen structure that the center span is 250 m. It is the third largest in the world.

Many people set out on the carriage to take powerful pictures, there were many triangular cones "Please do not shoot in the roadway".

It's like this when you go to the front of the bridge. Unlike Sakaiminato side, it seems to be stretching straight up towards heaven.

However, like that poster, it does not look like a wall. Although I photographed while walking away from the bridge obviously, the sign was in the way ....

I came back across from Family Mart, but it is still different from what I was looking for.

A little further, the bridge should be closer to the wall. However, the other side of the bridge is the intersection of the family at the corner of Family Mart and it is a dead end. ...... But land is on the extension of that deadline. It is quite far, is not it ... there ...?

What I saw was the coastline of Ohanejima in the west of Ehoshima. With expectation put away from the Esashima Bridge. The only bridge that was as high as that, only the head will be visible.

Along the coast, it was maintained like a sidewalk from the village on the way. Looking on the map, there is an old road inside this coastal road, so it seems that you probably attached a sidewalk when you upgraded the new road.

As the coastal road enters the left curve, the Esashima Ohashi will no longer be visible, so I tried going just before that, but that was overkill.

So, just a bit back, finally we found an angle that looks like a poster. Although it can not read the signs of the road signs due to considerable zooming, the Esashima Ohashi bridge is much higher than the surrounding buildings like a walled building.

I feel somewhat lonely when there are few cars.

It is like this. Thanks to the sidewalks, it is saved that it's okay to concentrate on shooting.

There is this small island. However, perhaps you used the ship when shooting a poster.

Those who plan to go to the Esashi Ohashi Bridge in the future and who have plenty of time, please also check this angle.
