I went to "Cafe Ibaraki-yu" which renovated public bath with 50 years history

Refurbish and reuse existing buildingsRenovationIf you use a technique called "old building", it may rise again in a new form. "Cafe IbarakiSince it was that it was a cafe that renovated public sentices with a history of 50 years, I decided to visit the shop to see what kind of atmosphere it can taste.

The address of "Cafe Ibaraki" is 4-1 Miyamoto-cho, Ibaraki-shi, Osaka. It is located at a distance from Hankyu Railway Kyoto main line 'Ibaraki-shi station'.

When I walked through the residential area, I found a chimney written "Sauna Ibaraki-yu".

When turning the corner of alley ... ....

A building written as "Ibaraki - yu" on the old gate was built.

Next to the entrance is the name of the shop "Ibaraki"

This is "Cafe Ibaraki - yu" made by renovating old public bath. It is a cafe which was renovated for a local relaxation place for the past 50 years, opened in late 2010 and born in 2010.

The shop is closed on Monday, open from 11 am to 5 pm. It was lunch time between 11:30 and 14:00.

Retro Entrance

A wall of nostalgic atmosphere Geta box installed on one side

Parent and child of the frog welcome you

Massage machine was inevitable in public bath

It seems that I had healed the customer 's body for 20th yen.

Geta box is a type used with pulling out and pulling out the key of the tree

Fine tiles spread on the floor

Change to slippers at the entrance ......

I'm going to the shop with a sliding door with "rattle".

This is what it's like inside the store. Light from a soft light bulb will come down from the ceiling.

Various design tables and sofas were placed.

When I tried through the goodwill written "men's hot water" ......

The space which was once a bathtub was also used as a space for a cafe.

Space filled with high ceiling

The light of the lamp is pleasant as well

Under the table ......

Cold water and hot water were separate, the old faucet

Renovation as a table around the bathtub

The inside of the bathtub was a box seat.

Dare to wash the dare

Old-fashioned washing chair. The memory that cried after falling with soap is rising.

There is a wooden stage in the space of the bathtub and it seems to be used for live events, too.

"Goodwill" hung on the wall. It used to be a guest at the entrance.

Return to the cafe space again. We also reuse the rocker at the dressing room.

The toilet is in the inner courtyard which opened the glass door. On the door is a fan of the old good days.

One of the electrical products representing Showa

The pendulum clock was working properly.

From the set that seemed better to call "stereo" than "audio", calm jazz music was flowing.

I decided to eat luncheon lunch set meal because it is noisy. "C set" ordered was domestic beef use hayashi rice. It was a menu of 1100 yen with salads and drinks.

It was a rich hayashi sauce with a good flavor of beef and ketchup, and it was quite a volume full set.

Since a cake set and a single item drink menu are also prepared, it is OK to use a bit for a breath.

I might be able to enjoy the atmosphere when I visit at a later late time.

"Stereo" also has an outstanding presence

It's almost like time has stopped

Looking closely, "Rattan rather than" made by bunching rattan on the floor was laid. This is also a unique style of public bath.

Before the counter seat, there was a joint tile with a pattern drawn.

Reunion with chairs who took care of when I was a child

It was "Cafe Ibaraki" which made me feel the air like time stopped.

Although I felt a lot of taste in the atmosphere, I was surprised when I heard the story. The café Ibaraki, which renovated the old good public bath, said that it was decided to close as soon as 2014.

It was only a little more to be able to taste the relaxing space in a nostalgic atmosphere, so it seems better for people who are interested to visit early.

The shop was about 7 minutes on foot from Hankyu Kyoto Line "Ibaraki City Station".
