IKEA's catalog furniture is 75% CG
IKEA creates a catalog of furniture every year, and it is distributed free at stores. Although it is designed with the layout which can actually live as it is, it is a catalog easy to grasp the image, but I understood that three of the furniture arranged in the catalog are made with CG.

IKEA has the top-level special effect studio in the world, and 75% of the furniture of the catalog is made of highly accurate CG so that it is indistinguishable from the real thing. The first time CG pictures were used for catalogs in 2006, Wall Street Journal in 2012IKEA catalog 25% CGHowever, the usage rate of CG has increased dramatically year by year.
The furniture of CG is drawn with high resolution of 4K × 4K pixels, I scan the real thing and map it on the 1/1 scale to produce it. According to Martin Enthed, the top manager of the project, in order to portray the real texture, realistic refraction of light etc. can be controlledRay TracingIt is said that it incorporates the technology called.
A part of the catalog that mostly is created with CG looks something like this.
Although grain is about CG, even if it is told, it is not possible to distinguish whether it is real or CG.
Early in the early days when IKEA started incorporating CG catalogs, CG producers learned studio photos and photographers worked to motivately express "real world textures", such as learning 3D rendering software I was able to do it. As a result, in just 8 years, despite the fact that 3 out of 4 arrangements are made of CG, it means that we can create sophisticated catalogs indistinguishable from genuine ones.
