Meanwhile, Facebook announces the establishment of a new research facility that tackles research on artificial intelligence such as machine learning and computer visual information processing function.

It was Professor of Computer Science Department of New York University that appointed director of AI's research facility newly established by FacebookYann LeCunMr. LeCun, who has made a great contribution in handwriting analysis in the 1990s, says, "It was a great honor to be appointed Director of AI's research facility."


As a member of the research facility, Mr. LeCun is a deputy professor of computer science department of New York UniversityRob FergusMr. Google, in March 2013Acquired DNNresearch in Toronto University 's campus entrepreneurMr. Marc'Aurelio Ranzato who is a former member of the research facility established and has been named.

On Facebook's Artificial Intelligence Research Facility, branches are established in New York as well as in Menlo Park, California and London, England. By studying machine learning and visual information processing functions of computers, it becomes possible for PC to properly analyze users' uploaded images and texts, and it may be possible to provide better services.
