Here is the body of UNI - CUB β. Technology that controls balance with built-in computerOmnidirectional driven wheelIt is possible to move in all directions except for the back.
On the back side of the main body, auxiliary wheels are arranged, and it seems to be assisting during turning.
Both foot steps to use as a stand when stopped
When you release the parking lever on the back of the seat, the stand rotates and you can use it as a step.
Companion who admires UNI-CUB β superbly. At first I need to get used to a little bit, but it seems to be able to get on at once. In the control technology of the car body, Honda's humanoid robot "ASIMO"Technology is reflected.
As I got on the train, though I was a little bit perplexed at first, I got used to operation in a minute. By thinking "Let's go ahead", the human body is supposed to be leaning forward a little, and the computer that senses the movement balances and the body proceeds forward. After 5 minutes, we were able to drive a figure 8 while freely cornering.
During the motor show, we are taking a test drive event every day, but it is accepted on a first-come-first-served basis. As a rule of thumb, it means that it is about 50 to 60 people in a test ride in one day, so it seems that people wanting to take a test need to go to the booth first thing in the morning.
