This adventure has been waiting for a year for a round trip around the world

It is said that the number of Japanese people who are traveling around the world in Now is estimated to be 3,000, so it is a secretly traveling around the world, but what happens if a beginner with no experience in backpacking suddenly goes around the world It is the whole record of 367 days of.

Hello everyone.

It is Atsushi Matsuzaki of World Newspaper . I am all round the world, and I am currently in Bangkok, Thailand. There are only 3 days left for my trip.

This series is also the last, so I would like you to enjoy the feeling of traveling even a little, and we will send you a summary of the trip in chronological order by 2-3 topics for each region.

Main backpack is a mult (up to 65 liters)

I was traveling like this with the sub bag in front

July 15, 2011. In the early morning, I think it is unusual to say that a laugh has been included if I think that I am really going to go to the airport.

◆ Image of overturned Chinese

The first country, China, was impressive. The Chinese image I had as I went on a trip was crumbling.

A Chinese university student who was in the same room in Huangshan, China. It looks stupid, but it's a kind-hearted good guy.

Cheerful students who met in the park. The obsession with taking poses when taking pictures of Chinese people is tremendous.

The young people I met in Tibet were fluent in English.

It was really well done by many Chinese. When the small dragon bag was exploded in the restaurant and covered with juice, a girl appeared from somewhere and put a tissue on the desk without saying anything. A university student who was in the same room in Wuhan went to the station together to buy a ticket. I often went with the university students, especially at the lodgings, and talked in English in various ways. Those who tried to communicate with big body language were very pure.

The two who sleep well in the train aisle. Chinese trains are always crowded, so we somehow try to find a place and go to bed

I often saw the baby's pants are broken. This will be possible everywhere in the city

There were hardly any scenes that felt anti-sun even in the city. They were a little shy at first, but they took care of them when they got along. As I was not used to traveling yet, I was exposed to the kindness. I think it was really good to choose China at the beginning of the trip.

◆ Lumbini's government

There was a wonderful encounter in Nepal in the second country. Lumbini in Nepal is considered to be the birthplace of Butta, and is a Buddhist holy place where temples from around the world gather. I had a training experience at the Japanese temple Myouhoji, a Japanese temple there.

The guest wakes up at 4:30 am and goes through the village and the village (rounding the village while hitting the drums).

When the children of the village hear the sound of the drum, they pop out of the house and strike the fan while playing chanting. The government says, 'The sound of drums is the sound of peace.' I felt like I saw the results of many years of steady activity.

The night meal is vegetable stew and boiled rice. It was the same menu for 3 days, but I could not practice snacking from morning, so it was very delicious.

After dinner, the government talks. I always thought about the questions and looked forward to this time, but I had no questions at all. That's because talking to everyone by nature was naturally the answer to my question. I can not forget the words given by such a senior citizen.

'Moneys, honors, things are sometimes taken away by others'

'So you find something in your heart that you really love and enjoy.'

'Because what you find in your heart is yours,'

Then, wherever I was in the world, that word was beside me.

◆ Return to Japan with discovery of polyps from malaria in India

When I was around India and waiting for my flight to the next destination, Bangkok, in Kolkata, I was plagued by the ill health of unknown cause. The symptoms like the beginning of a cold continued, and one day I felt that the fever was attacked by the sensation of coming out of the back of my body and it was a fierce chill, and my head became irritated.

I immediately go to the hospital by taxi. I took it while I was jealous

Immediately after being hospitalized, two days later, the chief physician (right) declared malaria

During hospitalization, I always kept on dripping. Fortunately, the symptoms of malaria are light and on the third day it feels like 70% recovery.

Hospital food is three meals curry

The doctor said on the night of the fifth day when I was enjoying the comfortable hospital life. 'A polyp was found.' When I examined it for malaria, I found it in the gallbladder. The doctor recommended surgery in India, but I decided to see in Japan if I could not take that risk.

When I came back and had a medical examination, I could not find ... a polyp.

I was about to be fucked by a doctor. However, I was troubled with the daily life of my trip since I entered India, so it may be nice to be able to refresh. After a week's stay, I decided to start again around the east. It is America that got down.

◆ Enjoy the great nature of America

In the United States, I drove mainly in Arizona. Above is Grand Canyon.

Sedona famous as a power spot

Horseshoe bend named after reminiscent of horseshoes

Antelope canyon with a streamlined pattern in the cave

I took a breath in this sunset

Arizona was not only a major tourist attraction, but it was wonderful to see the unexpected sunset like the sunset above. There was not much image of nature in America, but it is that wide land. I felt like I saw that power.

◆ Unknown Central America

Central American countries south of Mexico were the first unknown zone for me on this trip (above: Salvador, El Salvador). What I learned by collecting information in Mexico is that it seems that the security is bad.

Central America One of the poor security cities and the capital city of Nicaragua, which shakes up travelers. 'The devil's intersection' is said to have a high probability of robbery even in the daytime.

Chicken tomato simmered in Honduras. It was delicious.

At a local karaoke pub in Costa Rica. A person like MC in the center is excited and turns the microphone to the customer

The room I stayed in Salvador, the capital of El Salvador. Even if I thought now, it was so bad that I felt so bad

I saw one of the oldest Japanese arcade games in Honduras game center

Costa Rica is a treasure trove of flora and fauna. Central America is said to be relatively safe.

When I went there with a good deal of things, I did hear a lot of noise, but nothing happened to me. In Central America, it was an unknown zone, and it was possible to travel with a feeling of freshness rather interesting one by one making of the city. There is a sense of chaos as a whole except for Costa Rica's San Jose, and the atmosphere is an impression close to Southeast Asia. It seems that the food culture and the influence of Mexico are considerable.

By the way, New Year's Eve was the second city of Quetzaltenango. Thankfully, I had a sorrow at a Japanese hotel.

◆ Carnival energy

When I entered Bolivia, South America entered a carnival season. I saw a carnival at Oruro in Bolivia and Puno in Peru, one of the three major carnivals.

A group of young men put bells on their feet and dance dynamically using jumping

A group of women let their hands plump.

Demon's face

Children are also fine dancers.

Everyone has a really lively look

The Uyuni carnival is participatory. I was overwhelmed by the indecent dance of the Indiana, who usually had a gentle impression.

I was really excited about the carnival. Anyway, everyone's expression is lively, and I'm getting better now. There was an image that people in South America were cheerful, but as I traveled, I felt that everyone was not that way. Unexpectedly, a melancholy expression was noticed in the city. However, at the time of watching the carnival, I thought it was alive for this moment and I was full of energy then.

◆ Dangerous Uyuni salt lake

Uyuni salt lake, a sacred place for Japanese backpackers, was definitely the highlight of the trip. In the Uyuni salt lake, when the rainy season comes, the water collects on the surface of the lake, and you can see the phenomenon of 'mirroring' that reflects the surrounding landscape.

Mirroring of the day

Your mind is becoming more and more mindless as your head can not handle the scene in front of you.

Evening sun

We stayed at a salt hotel where everything was made of salt

UYUNI

The starry sky is reflected in the space

If you are asked where you want to go again, you will answer Uyuni. However, after that, it's dangerous in a sense, as it has not been moved by a bit of gentle scenery.

◆ Financial crisis & deportation

One day before I left for Europe, I realized that I was in Buenos Aires. 'I can't withdraw cash.' For example, I lost 2 of 3 cards at this point, and the limit of cashing for the tiger cubs was 40,000 yen. As a result of investigating whether there is something wrong, it is Citibank that I decided to rely on.

There is an emergency measure that if you have a passport for those who lost the card, you can withdraw the deposit at the branch office.

After getting 4 branches, I managed to get 100,000 yen worth of peso. However, even if you try to change this to the euro immediately, you can say why you can not go to any bank or currency exchange. When I confirm it to an acquaintance, the fact of shock that 'foreigners can not exchange peso for other foreign currency in Argentina' is uncovered. You do not have to think about what value the peso is worth in Europe. That means ... Tomorrow, this bundle of paper is paper waste .... I was at a loss in the crowd.

But the savior appeared. What Japanese people living in Buenos Aires will convert to dollars!

As soon as I went to the designated place, it was the Japanese language class of the university. That person is a lecturer here, and I will help you by jumping in

It was a hat who flew off to Europe with the 100,000 yen.

The next day, I arrived in S サ ン パ ウ ロ o Paulo, which is a transit point, but it is strange. There is no gate to transit anywhere. Many people saw my ticket and said. 'You have to enter the country, but you have no visa, so you will return to Buenos Aires.' What, my ticket was a ticket that included a domestic transfer that required entry. I think it was a transit and I didn't get a visa completely.

'I'm sorry. This is also our mistake,' said GOL Air's brother who put me on the way to Sao Paulo. It seems that they are talking about something like 'Japanese people are visa-less.'

Repatriation ticket given to brother

If it will come back to Buenos Aires again (headline photo) .... I was withdrawn for about 5 days of shock.

◆ A place called Eastern Europe

Hot Springs of Budapest. Hungary is a hot spring country that people know. It was healed after bathing in a long time

In the car from Hungary to Zagreb. The Croatian brother is working in Indonesia and it is the first time in half a year to return home. Casually gave me a beer

Scars of NATO air strikes remaining in Belgrade city

In Kosice, Slovakia. My uncle on the left woke me up sleeping in the park and said, 'What a Japanese is in such a place!'

Europe's destination is Istanbul

In the past, wherever we went around the world, it was often better than we had imagined, but only Eastern Europe was the reverse. I felt that many people are walking in Hungary in Budapest. Sofia in Bulgaria was closed even in the city center and was not lively. It is the same in Europe as Germany and France. When I knew that I would travel around Eastern Europe, the traveler from Western Europe wondered 'Why?' And laughed 'Nothing'. However, I felt attractive in Eastern Europe. Asking where to get off the bus driver in Belgrade, the driver pulled me into the driver's seat and said in sensible English. 'I and you go together.' In Eastern Europe, I often felt naive humanity.

◆ Sim in the activity

The last destination is Southeast Asia. At first, I was planning to go into the Middle East, but in Eastern Europe, I realized the kitchen situation 'it's not the case' and changed my schedule. Southeast Asia is cheap, so I enjoyed all the natural activities I have had up to now.

Speaking of Lao's Bambien, I drank a bottle and go down the river in a tube, playing, tubing.

I feel comfortable and sleepy

Ride an elephant in Chiang Mai, Thailand.

Life's first rafting. I feel prejudiced to go back to Japan.

Touring in Bambien, Laos. I am trying to finish my journey in a relaxed state thanks to the natural nature of Southeast Asia

Before I went on a trip I worked as an editor at a publisher. It was a dream job since childhood. However, as I grew older, I felt mannerism, and I just began to 'find more' about what I did not like. I just couldn't break it down and left the company I worked for 5 years. But there was nothing to quit. There was really nothing because I could not continue my dream job. So I almost went out on a trip. 'If you go abroad, something may change.' However, only the place changed, and I was barely exposed myself there. It was 367 days when I faced such oneself.

I do not think that it is wrong to understand the structure, mechanism, and flow of the world just because I went around the world. Rather the mystery only deepens.

However, I feel I understood a little about myself.

Through the GIGAZINE series and blogs, I found something important in myself.

Thank you for eight months.
