'Finger Reader' is a machine that reproduces the voice information of the product traced with your finger.

' Finger Reader ' is a concept design of a new device that combines existing technologies. When you trace the barcode of a product with a device attached to your fingertip, information about the product is played by voice from the Bluetooth earphone.

This is an image visual. It is as if something is being transmitted from the finger to the ear via the barcode. 'Finger Reader' is a concept work nominated for the Spark Awards of the international design competition.

The 'Finger Reader' is a set of earphones and a device that can be attached to your fingertips. A barcode reader is built into the tip of the device to be attached to the finger, and the information contained in the barcode traced with this is played back as sound from the earphones via Bluetooth.

It looks like this actually used.

It's very simple to use, just put the device on your ears and fingers and trace the barcode of the product you want to get information about.

You can also carry the leader part around your neck. The sleek design makes it look surprisingly stylish.

It is said that this device was invented in recent years because barcodes can now be read by hand-held smartphones and mobile phones even if they are not special machines used by cashiers. Therefore, it seems to be an attempt to put information other than price in the barcode of the product and read it to inform the consumer. The characters and images that can be printed on the package are not enough to explain the details of the product, and it is necessary to supplement the missing information.

There wasn't enough information to choose what I wanted to eat from the pile of products in supermarkets, so when I bought and ate it, it tasted disappointing. As you can see, this device can be used to eliminate it. Certainly, it seems that if there is a lot of information, it will be useful for selection, but it is a device that is likely to have more or less attractiveness depending on the place to use. I feel that the advantages of this device can be maximized in places with many attractive products such as the supermarket 'foodium Dojima' that aims to completely defeat convenience stores .
