Over 40,000 copies of Blu-ray "Bakemonogatari" Vol.3 Sold, setting record again

Following its vol. 1 and vol.2, the third volume of Bakemonogatari released on Nov. 25 set record for TV anime disc sales again, selling more than 40,000 copies.

Beating vol. 4 of Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya limited edition DVD, the third volume of Bakemonogatari became most sold anime disc. Blu-ray edition sold 41,000 copies and became the most sold TV anime Blu-ray. It's also the 2nd place in whole anime disc ranking, following theatrical Evangelion. Usually these discs sell less and less in the higher-numberd volumes, but Bakemonogatari has smashed the jinx.

Vol.4 "Nadeco Snake" will be released on Dec. 23. Probably due to the tight schedule, episodes to be contained in this volume had lifeless animation when it was aired on TV. Hope these will be corrected.

The last three episodes will be distributed on the Internet and the first of the three already came out. The airing schedule for last two episode is to be announced soon.
