FINAL FANTASY XIII "ELIXER" Tonic to Hit the Stores in December

You might remember the "Potion" from Final Fantasy VII released as beverages in beautiful blue bottles in 2006 and the somewhat phallic bottle in 2007.

This time, not the potion but the "Elixir" from Final Fantasy XIII will hit the stores as canned soda "FINAL FANTASY XIII ELIXIR" in 16 designs each featuring a character. Six types of special version "FINAL FANTASY XIII ELIXIR with TRADING ARTS Mini" bundled with figurines will also be on sale.

According to the press release, Suntory will release "FINAL FANTASY XIII ELIXIR" on December 8(Tue) in Japan at the price of 191 yen (about $2) per can.

"FINAL FANTASY XIII ELIXIR" is lemon-flavoured soda containing the recommended daily requirement of Vitamin B1 and B6, with four times the amount of caffeine and three times royal jelly compared to "DISSIDIA FINAL FANTASY POTION" released last year.

Six types of "FINAL FANTASY XIII ELIXIR with TRADING ARTS Mini" bundled with figurines will go on sale on December 22(Tue) for 934 yen (about $10) each.

"FINAL FANTASY XIII ELIXIR with TRADING ARTS Mini". The aloe-flavoured pop comes in a can featuring Lightning and Snow, bundled with one of the six figurines.
