Photos and movies of people surfing in the Amazon River Pororokka

In the Amazon River, a large wave of 5 m high flows backward from the mouth, a phenomenon called Pororoca occurs. Pororoca dates back upstream at a speed of 65 km / h, and it may be from 300 km to the estuary. A person who surfed this big wave recently appeared, and in 2003 there were people who were riding in the wave for 34 minutes.

An explanatory movie on what Pororoccha is like. I can understand why the old man was afraid of the disaster.

A story of a director who covered Pororoca. Perhaps the movie that I introduced may also belong to the Araguari River.
