It has been pointed out that the processing of revision suggestions for

Grokipedia is an online encyclopedia developed by Elon Musk, who was dissatisfied with Wikipedia's left-leaning bias. Musk expressed confidence that it would 'significantly surpass Wikipedia.' As the name suggests, a combination of xAI's 'Grok' and encyclopedia, the articles are generated by AI. However, when it was made publicly available in October 2025, it was discovered that a large number of articles were simply copied directly from Wikipedia.
Elon Musk's encyclopedia site 'Grokipedia,' which he boasts is superior to Wikipedia, is now publicly available, and contains numerous articles copied entirely from Wikipedia - GIGAZINE

Regarding changes and revisions to article content, a workflow is in place where readers submit suggestions via a form, which are then reviewed by AI, and a decision is made whether to implement or reject them. The suggestions and results are available as logs. Many articles have been rewritten from direct copies of Wikipedia entries to more original content thanks to these revision suggestions.
However, while readers initially submitted revision suggestions as usual, research by Columbia University's
Grok Is Now Editing Itself - Columbia Journalism Review

This graph shows the trend of correction suggestions based on Tow Center data. You can see that correction suggestions from 'Grok Editor' (orange), which appeared in mid-December 2025, have been steadily increasing. As the name suggests, 'Grok Editor' is self-editing by Grok, meaning that Grokipedia has started to make corrections itself.

Regarding this matter,
The news site Lawfare noticed that Grokipedia's suggested corrections, which used to be processed in as little as a few minutes, are now being left in a 'under review' state.
The investigation revealed that after 12 revision proposals submitted on April 24, 2026, were processed on the same day, all revision proposals remained in the 'under review' status. This was unrelated to topic or genre bias, or the popularity of the articles. In an analysis of 34,519 pages with one or more revision proposals, not a single revision proposal was found to have been 'approved' or 'rejected' within the past three months.
Furthermore, Lawfare's review of past reports from the Tow Center revealed that a large portion of the edits that were previously marked as 'approved' had been changed to 'rejected.'
According to Lawfare's investigation, when a major rewrite took place on Grokipedia on March 14, 2026, the link between proposed revisions and the actual edits was severed. As a result, even though the revisions were actually reflected, the status remained 'rejected.'
The following graph shows the status progression of proposed revisions. Blue indicates 'submitted,' green indicates 'implemented,' purple indicates 'approved,' and orange indicates 'rejected.' After March 22, 2026, proposals will no longer be implemented and will remain at the 'approved' status. Furthermore, after April 25, no approval or rejection decisions will be made.

According to Lawfare, suggestions from Grok Editor stopped coming from mid-March to April, and since April, only correction suggestions have been made by human users. On the other hand, the pipeline that processes correction suggestions was working fine until just before the problem occurred, and it is not the case that 'the system was overwhelmed by a flood of low-quality correction suggestions from AI.'
KllN, who had been submitting correction suggestions to Grokipedia, had been complaining about the matter since early May and had his feedback forwarded to the team through Stefan Goncharov of xAI. He said that 30 days ago, Goncharov responded that 'we cannot share progress information.' 'He (Goncharov) was the only person from xAI who responded to me,' KllN said.
Grokipedia's review system has been completely broken without a fix for 70+ days. I have suggestions that are still in review status from 10 weeks ago.

Elon Musk, the originator of the project, has not mentioned Grokipedia since February 2026, and it is completely unclear whether xAI has abandoned Grokipedia or is planning to make some kind of changes to it.
