Nintendo has released a promotional video and a developer interview titled 'We Asked the Developers' for Splatoon Raiders, a Nintendo Switch 2 game scheduled for release on July 23rd (Thursday). The official website also allows viewers to watch the previously released commercials, 'World Setting' and 'Action.'

The introductory video introduced the story of searching for treasure on the Uzushio Islands with the Surimi Alliance, as well as the game's features, including weapons, salmon, 'gadgets' that expand actions, equipment customization, growth elements, online play, and compatibility with amiibo.

In a developer interview, it was revealed that development began with the idea of 'using the gameplay of Salmon Run to create a game that can be thoroughly enjoyed by one person.' The interview described the game design, which aimed for an exhilarating and busy 'ultimate solo operation' where players take down hordes of salmon one after another with weapons and gadgets, and the process of arriving at the current action after repeated prototyping.
