OmniDrive is third-party firmware for MediaTek MT1959 -based optical disc drives manufactured by Hitachi LG Data Storage . It is said to improve the reading accuracy and integrity of optical discs, including game discs.
OmniDrive can read CDs, DVDs, Blu-ray discs (BDs), and derivative media. The supported discs are listed below, but there are limitations, such as the inability to obtain encryption keys for some discs, unverified discs, or inability to fully access them.

Furthermore, to verify the performance of OmniDrive, Archades Games ripped Xbox 360 games using OmniDrive and the open-source disk dump tool ' Media Preservation Frontend '. The verification results showed that a Blu-ray player with OmniDrive applied could perfectly convert Xbox 360 games into ISO files.
