A project has begun to recreate the classic Windows 3D pinball game 'Space Cadet' in life-size.

Someone has attempted to recreate 'Space Cadet,' a Windows pinball game that was as popular as 'Solitaire,' in life-size. At the time of writing, the project is reportedly still under construction.

Space Cadet is a pinball game that was included in Windows from the late 1990s to the 2000s. CNCDan, a popular YouTuber in fields such as 3D printing, is attempting to recreate and build a pinball machine from it. CNCDan is sharing the process of building the machine, focusing on the main components of the pinball machine.

For example, a replica of a bumper that makes the ball bounce back when it hits it.

It is made by combining 3D printed parts and springs.

When you actually hit it with a ball, it bounces back.

A drop target consisting of three plates that retract when hit by a ball.

I attached a spring to each board so that it would move when it was hit.

A slingshot that bounces back when it hits something.

A rubber band is attached so that it will bounce back no matter where it hits the slingshot.

A small, room-like area with three bumpers and a narrow path.

This is how it's been recreated. In the game, there's a slight delay when the ball leaves the small room, and that delay has also been reproduced.

Finally, there are the flippers that the player controls.

They successfully demonstrated the device in action, bouncing the ball back. They plan to adjust the power and other aspects in the future.

According to CNCDan's calculations, the playfield is only 56cm wide, making it quite small for an arcade pinball machine. CNCDan says he will share the manufacturing process at a later date.
