But as we reach this turning point, I would like to take this opportunity to express my gratitude. I am not speaking on behalf of the company this time. Of course, everyone at the company is deeply grateful to you all, but this time I am speaking purely as Tim personally. I grew up in a small town and, in this magical time, I have been given the opportunity to become the CEO of the world's number one company. I am deeply grateful for the trust and kindness you have shown me. Thank you for greeting me on the street and in stores. Thank you for cheering with me when we announce new products and services. I have great expectations for what we will achieve in the coming years, and I am thrilled to see some of the world's most talented people come together at Apple to work towards goals that are greater than any one of us could possibly achieve. I am honored to take on this role and promise to lead with the values and vision that have characterized this special place for half a century in mind.'
