I tried 'Prelude-do Spice Pork Curry,' which allows you to change the flavor with three different spice mixes inspired by the new Honda Prelude.

We received a copy of this Honda-made spice curry at our editorial office, so we tried it ahead of time to see how well it recreates the Prelude.

This is what the packaging for 'Prelude Spice Pork Curry' looks like.

To recreate the versatile driving experience of the Prelude, three different flavor-changing spices are included.

The ingredients are as follows: In addition to pork, tomato puree, and sautéed onions, it uses spices such as minced garlic, minced ginger, cumin, coriander, mustard seeds, turmeric, cardamom, garam masala, cayenne pepper, cardamom seeds, cinnamon, black pepper, and cloves. Furthermore, looking at the three flavor-changing spices, 'GT×S+Spice' has coriander, cardamom, and cumin; 'SPORT×S+Spice' has Sichuan peppercorns and chili pepper; and 'COMFORT×S+Spice' has fennel and cardamom, each with a different spice composition.

The energy content per serving is 495 kcal.

Upon opening the package, I found a retort pouch and three small packets of spices inside.

From top to bottom, they are 'GT×S+Spice', 'SPORT×S+Spice', and 'COMFORT×S+Spice'.

To eat 'Prelude Spice Pork Curry,' heat the unopened pouch in boiling water for 5-6 minutes.

Simply place the rice and the contents of the pouch on a plate, and it's ready.

This time, I also served the spices in small dishes. From left to right, they are 'GT×S + Spice,' 'SPORT×S + Spice,' and 'COMFORT×S + Spice.'

First, I tried it as is. The rich aroma of spices is complemented by the acidity and freshness of the tomato base, and the savory flavor of the chunks of pork is added on top. At first bite, I didn't feel much spiciness, but the heat gradually built up afterward. It's a high-quality spice curry that wouldn't feel out of place in a restaurant.

Next, I divided the curry and rice into smaller portions and tried adding different spices to each. First, I added 'GT×S+spice,' and the refreshing spices enhanced the sweetness of the tomatoes and pork, giving the overall flavor a more refined feel.

When you add 'SPORT×S+Spice,' you feel the tingling and numbing sensation of Sichuan peppercorns, followed by a powerful kick of chili pepper. It's a truly exhilarating flavor worthy of the name 'SPORT.'

'COMFORT×S+Spice' is a refreshing spice blend with a strong citrus flavor, which gave the spice curry a lighter taste.

'Prelude Spice Pork Curry' is scheduled to go on sale from April 17th, 2026 (Friday) at Honda's official online shop. The price is 1200 yen (tax included) per serving.
