Israel's laser weapon 'IRON BEAM' is seen intercepting a missile, with an unlimited number of bullets and the ability to intercept up to several kilometers away



A video was posted online showing a missile fired at Israel being destroyed in mid-air immediately after launch. It has been pointed out that this is the first case of a missile being intercepted using an 'IRON BEAM' laser weapon.




The video was taken near the Lebanese-Israeli border, with Lebanon on the left and Israel on the right, and shows multiple missiles being fired from Lebanon towards Israel.



The missile continues to gain altitude.



But as it rose, it suddenly shone brightly.



In the next moment the missile was destroyed, leaving only a spark.



Although the missiles above flew quite high, most of them were destroyed immediately after launch.

Joey Hoffmann points out that the IRON BEAM laser weapon was used. IRON BEAM is a laser weapon jointly developed by Israeli arms developer Rafael and the Israeli military. According to its official website , it has 'a range of several hundred meters to several kilometers, an unlimited magazine capacity, near-zero interception cost, and minimal collateral damage.'



Hoffmann pointed out that IRON BEAM has a limited range and is not a panacea. However, he added, 'If Israel knew where the missiles were coming from or deployed IRON BEAM missiles every 400 meters, most of Hezbollah and Hamas' rocket attacks would fail.' He emphasized that IRON BEAM will play a major role in Israel's air defense system.
