Google CEO Sundar Pichai updated his X (formerly Twitter) account on February 18, 2026, announcing that Google I/O 2026 will be held from May 19.

According to Google's official blog, Google I/O 2026 will be held at Shoreline Amphitheater in Mountain View, California, USA. Regarding the announcements at Google I/O 2026, Google wrote, 'From Gemini to Android, come see our latest breakthroughs in AI and updates to our products.'

Google gave a two-hour keynote speech at Google I/O 2025, which foreign media outlet Mashable wrote about: 'In a word, it was AI, AI, and more AI.'
