OpenAI announces 'OpenAI Frontier,' an AI implementation support platform that builds AI workers and automatically executes tools according to each company's rules.

When trying to introduce AI into work, problems often arise, such as 'there are too many parts of the workflow that use AI, making the entire workflow too complicated,' or 'the AI's capabilities cannot be fully utilized within the workflow.' OpenAI Frontier , a platform for supporting the introduction of AI for businesses, was launched on February 5, 2026, to help overcome these situations.

When using AI in business, it is common to combine many tools, including ChatGPT, the AI browser ChatGPT Atlas, and third-party agents. OpenAI Frontier is designed to comprehensively manage various tools, and 'AI Workers' execute them according to instructions. AI Workers are designed to learn information specific to each company, such as 'where information is stored,' 'how ticketing tools are used,' and 'what the decision-making process is,' allowing them to perform tasks that are tailored to the company culture.

The OpenAI Frontier management screen looks like this: In the center of the screen, you can see the tasks being executed by the AI workers.

New tasks can be specified in natural language, such as 'We're moving to a new office, so please create a quote for purchasing 40 sets of desks and chairs. They must be delivered by March 1, 2026.' The AI worker will execute the appropriate tool according to the instructions.

You can also add instructions while completing a task.

It is also possible to manage the list of tools being run by AI workers and the number of executions on a single screen.

OpenAI Frontier is already available to select companies, including Uber, Cisco, and HP, and will be expanded over the coming months.
