In X, users can launch Grok's image editing feature with a single button, and can have Grok generate images by replying to a post containing an image with the string '@grok' and a prompt. As a result, Grok accounts ' media sections are now filled with Grok-generated images. Research firm Copyleaks found that when they examined Grok accounts' media sections, they found that there was approximately one non-consensual sexual image per minute.

The victims are not only young people or those who rely on their looks as a selling point, but also public figures.

In many countries and regions, it is illegal to edit or sexually alter other people's images and then publish them.
