In emergencies such as traffic accidents or natural disasters, even if you manage to get through to the correct number, it can be difficult to accurately communicate the situation around you. Android Emergency Live Video is a feature that allows you to broadcast live video of the situation around you while making an emergency call or texting.

Specifically, during an emergency call, an operator can send a request to share a live broadcast, and the caller can simply tap to allow, and the surrounding situation will be broadcast to the operator in real time. This real-time video can also be used to direct life-saving measures until rescue teams arrive.

According to the Android development team, Android Emergency Live Video is designed to be simple and secure, with no setup required. Communications are encrypted by default, and video sharing can be stopped instantly at any time. The development team said Android Emergency Live Video supports on-site decision-making for emergency calls and is in line with Google's efforts to 'make calling for help easier and give users peace of mind,' including emergency location services, car collision detection, fall detection, and satellite SOS communication.

The feature is currently available in parts of the United States, Germany, and Mexico, and is supported on smartphones running Android 8 or later with Google Play Services. The development team stated, 'We're working closely with public safety agencies around the world to expand Android Emergency Live Video to more locations,' indicating that the feature will be rolled out to other countries and regions in the future.
