Google has released the November 2025 version of its Pixel Drop update for the Pixel series. The update adds features like the ability to transcribe phone calls and the ability to display Google Maps directions in black and white to reduce power consumption. The 'Call Notes' feature uses AI to transcribe phone calls, distinguishing between what you and the other person are saying. The AI model uses Gemini Nano, which runs locally rather than on the cloud, so call content is not leaked to third parties. Call Notes is available on Pixel 9 series and later models, excluding the Pixel 9a.
Google Maps now has a new feature that allows you to save battery power by displaying navigation in black and white while driving. Black and white mode can extend battery life by up to four hours.
'Pixel VIPs,' which allows you to select and prioritize family and friends from your contacts, has been updated, and message notifications from Pixel VIPs registered users will now be prioritized. In addition, a disaster badge will be displayed for Pixel VIPs registered users in the contacts widget, allowing you to see when a disaster has occurred near your location. This feature is available on Pixel 6 series and later models.
Additionally, an update has been released that improves battery consumption and fixes an issue that caused colors to appear distorted on the ultra-wide-angle camera.
