I tried using the early access version of 'Jizaiten', which can be used as a material for creating human poses such as illustrations and manga, and can be freely moved around at the moment you need it or at any angle you like.

' Jizaiten ' is an illustration material service provided by

Kotobukiya , a manufacturer of figures and hobbies. It allows you to pause videos of real people and rotate them 360 degrees, making it a drawing material service that realizes the idea of 'I wish I had a document from this angle.' The early access version of Jizaiten was released in February 2025, so I actually tried using it.

Click on the link in the email that says 'Log in to ZIZAITEN - a collection of manga with free perspectives.'

If the Jizaiten page opens and your email address is displayed in the upper right corner, you have successfully logged in. In the early access version of Jizaiten, you do not log in with your email address and password, but instead enter your email address and receive a login URL each time you log in.

Jizaiten's materials can be used by signing up for a 24-hour rental or unlimited subscription. To purchase materials, you need to register your payment information, so select your email address and click 'Membership Information.'

At the time of writing, the only payment method available was credit card. Click 'Add payment method'.

I was able to see the material.

The feature of Jizaiten is that you can move the material around to get the angle you want. By left-clicking and dragging, you can change the angle of the material up, down, left, or right.

You can also right-click and drag to adjust the position of the material.

You can also use the mouse wheel to zoom in and out, allowing you to take a closer look at the points you want to focus on.

Pressing the person icon in the bottom left resets the movement and returns to the original viewpoint.

You can also change the background color by pressing the square icon.

Using a solid color background makes it easier to cut out people, so you can use it in a variety of ways, such as combining it with the background material you want to use.

The 'FOV' in the material viewer is the field of view, and you can adjust the zoom in/out by changing this number.

Jizaiten offers video materials and pose materials (still images). Unlike video materials, pose materials cannot be used to capture a single moment of movement, but you can adjust the rotation and zoom in the same way.

Jizaiten uses a technology called

volumetric video to create video and pose materials that can move around 360 degrees. Due to the nature of volumetric video, some parts may be missing or distorted, but it is very useful for referring to the movement of clothes and items and wrinkles that match the movement.

At the time of writing, there were 135 video materials and 146 pose materials on Jizaiten. Materials are managed by tags, and can be searched by 'narrowing down by tag' or 'narrowing down by recording theme'.

When you want to check the reference of a real person, you may feel that the angle is a little different from the image you want to draw, but with Jizaiten, you can stop the video material at any point and rotate it to any angle you like, so it's a very handy tool. Jizaiten also has one free video material and nine free pose materials, so I recommend using the free materials first.
