That 'Jagariko' turned blue for the first time in history and was released as 'Blue Jagariko Seafood Flavor', so I tried it

On Tuesday, February 25, 2025, Calbee released ' Blue Jagariko Seafood Flavor ' exclusively at Lawson. It is finished in blue to match Lawson's color, and is seafood flavored with the image of blue seafood, so I actually tried eating it to see what it tastes like.

This is the package for 'Blue Jagariko Seafood Flavor'.

'The blue color of the product comes from gardenia pigment.'

The ingredients include dried potatoes, scallop extract powder, clam extract powder, and squid extract powder.

Calorie content is 258kcal per cup.

When I opened the lid and looked inside, it looked like this. It was filled with greenish-blue Jagariko.
When compared to

At the first bite, it tasted so normal that I thought 'Is this just a normal salad?', but after rolling it around on my tongue for a while, I noticed a slight scallop-like scent. However, when I compared it to the salad, there was a clear difference. The salad tasted like 'salt, fat, potato,' while the blue Jagariko had more umami, giving it a 'salt, potato, umami' taste. Only the salad had parsley in it, so the aftertaste was different.

'Blue Jagariko Seafood Flavor' is on sale at Lawson stores nationwide (excluding Lawson Store 100), priced at 200 yen including tax.
