Review of 'Raiton', an app that allows you to display the screen of a sub-monitor in a window on the main monitor, making it convenient to check the screen output to a projector, etc.

' Raiton ' is an application that allows you to display the screen displayed on the sub-monitor in a window on the main monitor in real time in a multi-monitor environment. With Raiton, you can check the state of the sub-monitor and screen placed in a position that you cannot see from yourself in real time, and it seems that it can improve a small inconvenience such as 'I'm worried about the state of the output screen when presenting a slide, so I glance at the screen', so I actually tried using it.

Extended monitor viewer 'Raiton' released (Remote desktop engineer's blog.)

To use Raiton, click the link above to access the distribution page and click on the part that says 'Raiton 1.0.0 Download.' The size of the file to download is 64KB.

Once the ZIP file has finished downloading, right-click it and click 'Extract All.'

Click 'Deploy'.

Open the 'raiton' folder in the extracted folder.

Double-click 'raiton.exe'.

Click 'Run'.

Now you can start Raiton. If you do not have a sub-monitor connected, the contents of the main monitor will be displayed endlessly in a nested structure.

Connect a secondary monitor to the PC.

If you start Raiton in this state, the content displayed on the sub monitor will be displayed in the window in real time.

With Raiton, you can use another app while presenting a slide show, checking the output status on the screen in real time.

You can also quickly check the status of monitors that are difficult for the PC operator to see, such as monitors that display the waiting status or monitors used as digital signage.

Right-click on the title bar of Raiton to display a menu.

You can change the display magnification from 'Scale'. There are five magnification levels: '50%', '75%', '100%', '150%', and '200%'. The default is 50%.

'FPS' allows you to change the number of frames per second. You can choose from 'Minimum', '10', '20', '30', '45', '60', and 'Maximum'. The default is 30.

The system load of Raiton is as follows. For a PC equipped with an Intel Core i7-1065G7 , when displaying a full HD sub-monitor with Scale: 50% and FPS: 30, the CPU usage was 20% to 25%, and the memory usage was 50.5MB.

Although Raiton is free software, it occasionally launches a browser and displays advertisements. These advertisements are from apps that the creator, Yuichi Kaneko , was involved in developing.
