Menya Musashi ' and Lotte, will be offered at Menya Musashi from February 4th (Tuesday) to February 16th (Sunday), 2025. The menu uses truffles, one of the world's three great delicacies, and about 1.3 pieces of Lotte's chocolate 'Ghana', so I tried eating it to see what it tasted like.

I arrived at Menya Musashi Iwatora.



There was a poster in front of the store announcing 'Tsuke Ghana White 2025 ~Truffle Scent~'. It will be available for a limited time from February 4th to 16th, and only 20 meals will be served per day.



I bought a ticket inside the restaurant and sat down. In the kitchen, a staff member was grating truffles into the bowl.



The drink is 'Tsukemono Ghana White 2025 - Truffle Scent' (1,500 yen including tax).



A generous amount of truffle is placed on top of the noodles.



The noodles are flat and thick, and after pouring in kelp stock, they are soaked in truffle salt and truffle oil, and finished by shaving truffles. Although tsukemen is often served cold, this 'Tsukemen Ghana White 2025 ~Truffle Fragrance~' is served with both the noodles and soup hot in a 'hot serving' state.



First, I tried it as is. The rich flavor of the kelp stock and the flavor of the wheat are complemented by the rich aroma of the truffle. The noodles have a chewy texture and are springy.



The potage soup used as the dipping sauce is based on clear water soup and salted shellfish sauce, and is made by mixing sautéed mushrooms and garlic that have been blended in a blender with a single sheet of Lotte

Ghana White bread .



I tried dipping the noodles in it. I could definitely smell the aroma and sweetness of the white chocolate, but it had a richer aroma and flavor than sweetness, and a moderate saltiness. It's not just a potage made from melted chocolate. By dipping the noodles in kelp stock, the flavor is further boosted.



The filling is whole braised pork.



The Ghana ripples on top of the char siu are eye-catching. The char siu is marinated in about 0.3 pieces of Ghana milk , Menya Musashi Gantora's char siu sauce, cinnamon, and star anise, giving it a black, shiny finish.



It is topped with nuts such as almonds on the side.



The accompanying strawberries, kumquats, and broccoli add a vibrant color to the dish.



The pork slices are thoroughly cooked and have a firm chewiness. There is a sweetness to the dish, but it doesn't overpower it, and instead just supports the flavor of the pork slices. You can still smell the chocolate, but the spicy aroma of cinnamon and star anise adds a nice accent to the flavor, making it taste like authentic Chinese food. Adding a bit of this pork slice to the potage soup adds a more Chinese aroma, and you can enjoy the change in flavor.
