I tried using Sanwa Supply's 3-port power strip 'TAP-B111C3BK' that has three USB PD3.0 compatible ports and can supply up to 67W.

Sanwa Supply released the power tap ' TAP-B111C3BK ' in November 2024. The power tap has three USB Type-C ports that can output up to 67W and are compatible with the fast charging USB PD standard (PD3.0), as well as three AC power ports. I tried using it.

The outer box looks like this.

Its features include support for charging using the USB PD standard up to 67W, a USB charging function using GaN (gallium nitride) next-generation semiconductors that produces low heat and high output, a front-mounted display that shows power consumption, and compatibility with

the USB-PD PPS standard for efficient charging.

The contents are simple, consisting of only the main unit and an instruction manual.

The tap looks like this: There is one AC power outlet on the top and one on each side, and a power consumption display and three USB Type-C ports on the front.

The bottom looks like this, with small rubber feet on all four corners.

It looks like this when AC power is connected. The power consumption display does not support AC power.

I connected my iPhone to the USB Type-C port. Since it was fully charged, it didn't charge and the power consumption was displayed as '00W.'

Up to six different devices can be charged with this single tap.

The power consumption display on the front shows real-time power consumption. Check out the video below to see how it works.

I checked the heat generated during use with the thermal camera FLIR One Pro . This was 10 minutes after starting use, and the bottom of the unit was a little over 40 degrees.

An hour after I started using it, the temperature was about 62 degrees.

The bottom was approximately 64 degrees, or 2 degrees above the side.

The temperature of the desk on which the power strip was placed was about 50 degrees. If you touch it without noticing, you'll be surprised and think, 'It feels strangely warm!?', but it's not too hot. However, when using this power strip, it's better to use it on a stable surface such as a desk, rather than placing it in a place that is vulnerable to heat.

The outlet part was about 20 degrees and did not get particularly hot.

The standard price of the TAP-B111C3BK is 10,780 yen including tax. Sanwa Supply's official Sanwa Direct is sold for

8,580 yen including tax , and at the time of article publication, Amazon.co.jp was selling it for 7,389 yen including tax.
