Google has announced three new additions to NotebookLM:
◆ New interface optimized for managing and generating new content based on sources
The design of NotebookLM has been changed to an interface with three columns. By default, the leftmost column is 'Sources,' which lists information sources, the center is 'Chat,' which allows you to interact with the generation AI, and the right is 'Studio,' which allows you to generate audio that speaks summaries and briefing materials with one click. Clicking on each column expands the display area, allowing you to access them immediately.

Ability to interact directly with the AI host during Audio Overview
The 'Audio Overview' feature, which summarizes text and generates an audio summary in the form of a dialogue, has added a feature that allows humans to 'join' the dialogue. This allows users to use their own voice to ask the AI for more details or to tell it to analyze a different concept. Google appealed, 'NotebookLM listens to your voice and responds directly to you based on your knowledge, just like a personal tutor or guide.'
Below is a demo video shown by Google. When a human presses 'Join' while the AI is talking, the AI interrupts the conversation by saying, 'Oh, it seems like the listener wants to say something.' When a human asks a question in their own voice, the AI generates a new conversation based on the human's question.

◆ Premium version for power users, teams, and businesses: 'NotebookLM Plus'
A new subscription plan, ' NotebookLM Plus ', has been added to NotebookLM. In addition to all the features available in NotebookLM, NotebookLM Plus allows you to create 5 times more notebooks than NotebookLM, increase the maximum number of chats by 10 times, customize how you share with other users by sharing 'chat only', and analyze the number of times other users have accessed your notebook. It is designed primarily for people who use NotebookLM in teams.

Google has also announced ' Google Agentspace ,' which understands documents, emails, etc. and summarizes information. Google Agentspace can also be integrated with third parties such as Confluence, Google Drive, Jira, Microsoft SharePoint, and ServiceNow, allowing people to easily access internal documents and data sources to complete tasks.
