'LAZARUS' original action-packed anime by Shinichiro Watanabe, director of 'Cowboy Bebop,' reveals some action scenes from the film
The original anime ' LAZARUSU ', which depicts the story of 'Lazarus', a team of five elite agents gathered from all over the world, taking on a conspiracy hatched by a genius neuroscientist, has been decided to be broadcast and distributed from 2025. The latest video announced at the panel discussion at New York Comic Con 2024 has also been released on YouTube. Comments from the cast have also been released.

The year 2052.
The world was entering an unprecedented era of peace, and the painkiller 'Hapuna' developed by neuroscientist Dr. Skinner made a major contribution to this.
Hapuna spread throughout the world as a 'miracle drug' with no side effects, freeing humanity from pain.
However, its developer, Skinner, suddenly disappeared and no one knew where he was.
--Three years later, he reappears as a demon who will bring ruin to the world.
Hapuna was a drug that would cause illness and death to those who took it three years later; it was a trap.
'30 days left. If you can find my location by then, humanity will survive.'
The only way to save them is to use the only vaccine Skinner has.
And he said, 'If you want this, find me.' To counter Skinner's plot,
'Lazarus' is a team of five agents gathered from all over the world. Can they save humanity?
And what is Skinner's true purpose?
The original story and director is Shinichiro Watanabe (Cowboy Bebop). The project is produced by SOLA ENTERTAINMENT (Lord of the Rings: Battle of Rohan), and animation is handled by MAPPA (Jujutsu Kaisen and Chainsaw Man). Character design is by Akemi Hayashi (BANANA FISH), and action supervision is by Chad Stahelski (John Wick, starring Keanu Reeves).

Mamoru Miyano plays the role of Axel, the thrill-loving protagonist who is an expert in parkour and repeatedly gets imprisoned and then escapes.
I am truly happy to be involved in director Watanabe Shinichiro's work again and to have the opportunity to play the lead role of Axel.
This work, 'LAZARUS,' is top-notch in terms of action, music, direction, story, and everything else...
Even during the dubbing, there were times when I got goosebumps.
In this deep story where each mystery leads to more mysteries, I focused squarely on the character of 'Axel' while at the same time remaining natural.

Doug is the brains of the team, a nervous and sensitive character who also has great physical abilities. He majored in physics as a student and respected Dr. Skinner, and is played by Makoto Furukawa.

Manaka Iwami plays Elaina, a girl who has difficulty communicating with others and has trouble joining in other people's conversations, but is actually a world-famous hacker known as 'Mad Screamer.'

Every time I did the dubbing I felt nervous and it was very rewarding as an actor, and I really looked forward to going to the set every time.

Megumi Hayashibara plays Hirsch, the Lazarus commander who gets the job done efficiently without being swayed by emotion.

As I get older, I often find myself playing in the rear guard, but I still feel that same tension.

Yamadera Kouichi plays Skinner, a three-time Nobel Prize-winning scientist who developed the universal painkiller 'Hapuna' and was known as a saint-like person who donated most of his money, but who disappeared three years ago.
For me, 'Cowboy Bebop' is the most precious treasure in my life as a voice actor. Therefore, I always want to appear in all of Director Shinichiro Watanabe's works.
