The New York Times reports that X has 'done exactly what Musk vowed he would never do,' citing a lawyer for X's new contract in Brazil.

According to the lawyer, X first accepted the order to block certain accounts, which was the trigger for the conflict with the Brazilian Supreme Court, and then deleted the accounts in question.

The company also said it had complied with other demands made by the Brazilian Supreme Court, including paying the fines imposed and appointing new legal representatives to avoid a suspension of its services in Brazil .

However, there were irregularities in the administrative procedures for selecting the legal representative, and the Brazilian Supreme Court has given the party five days to address the issue.

On September 3, Elon Musk, owner of SpaceX, posted that 'Unless the Brazilian government returns the illegally seized assets of SpaceX and X, we will also seize government assets,' but it appears that SpaceX ultimately gave in and the matter was settled.
