The iPhone 16 Pro has a 6.3-inch display, while the iPhone 16 Pro Max has a 6.9-inch display.
The iPhone 16 Pro/Pro Max is equipped with the largest display ever on an iPhone.
In order to increase the display size without increasing the size of the device itself, the bezels have been made the thinnest of any Apple product.
The larger display supports ProMotion technology with an adaptive refresh rate of up to 120Hz. It also supports an always-on display, and the display glass is made of the latest Ceramic Shield, which provides excellent durability.

The frame is made of grade 5 titanium, which is roughly half the weight of stainless steel and is durable and scratch-resistant.

It uses second-generation 3nm transistors, which improves the chip's integration density, performance and efficiency.
The A18 Pro is equipped with a 16-core Neural Engine, which can perform 35 trillion calculations per second and is said to be good at generative AI tasks. In addition, with a total system memory bandwidth increased by 17%, the A18 Pro is said to be faster and more efficient than the A17 Pro chip installed in the iPhone 15 Pro / Pro Max.
The A18 Pro's increased memory bandwidth means Apple Intelligence functions will be up to 15% faster than the A17 Pro.
The A18 Pro also delivers improved graphics performance thanks to an updated memory subsystem, which, when combined with the six-core GPU, makes it up to 20% faster than the A17 Pro.
In addition, ray tracing is up to twice as fast as the A17 Pro.
The CPU is a total of six cores, consisting of two high-performance cores and four high-efficiency cores. It is up to 15% faster than the A17 Pro, and can deliver the same performance as the A17 Pro with 20% less power. The cache is also larger than the A18 installed in the iPhone 16, improving the performance of heavy-duty apps and games.

The ultra-wide-angle camera is 48 megapixels, has an f/2.2 aperture, and a focal length of 13mm. It features a new quad-pixel sensor that can capture high-resolution photos with autofocus.

The iPhone 16 Pro/Pro Max will add an 'Audio Mix' feature that uses machine learning to identify and separate background sounds from voices when editing videos.
For example, an 'in-frame' mix makes it possible to isolate only the voices of the people in front of the camera.
The 'Studio' mix has an effect that effectively removes reverberation, as if the mix was recorded in a professional studio with acoustical paneling on the walls.
The 'Cinematic' mix processes voices in a cinematic way, placing the voice track forward.
There will also be an update to 'Voice Memo' sometime in 2024.
You can now layer another track over an existing recording, making it possible to do things like 'record vocals over an accompaniment recording' or 'sing a lower part over a higher part you sang yourself.'
You can also remove the accompaniment from layered recordings to separate the vocal recording.
