The interview in question is of Tucker Carlson, a well-known conservative commentator, interviewing self-proclaimed historian Darryl Cooper, in which Cooper claims that 'Winston Churchill was the greatest villain of World War II' and that 'millions of people were killed in the Holocaust as an accidental event that occurred because Germany was not prepared to accept prisoners of war.'

The interview footage drew a lot of criticism as absurd and pro-Nazi rhetoric. For example, former Congresswoman Liz Cheney cited the interview footage and commented, 'This is pro-Nazi propaganda, including statements like 'Churchill was the biggest villain of World War II' and 'Hitler didn't want to fight.' No honest, respectable person would support or approve of such rubbish rhetoric.'

On the other hand, Musk quoted the interview footage and commented , 'Very interesting. Worth watching.'

It is unclear which part of the video Musk was interested in and why he deemed it 'valuable.' Also, at the time of writing, Musk's post has been deleted.

Musk has previously caused controversy by spreading false information such as posts claiming that 'women are incapable of critical thinking,' a claim that 'detention camps are being built in the UK,' and a video of unknown veracity that purports to show 'cannibalism in Haiti.'
