In response to Mr. Musk who said on October 28, 2023, ``We will support internet connectivity to internationally recognized aid organizations in the Gaza Strip,'' Communications Minister Karhi said, ``Hamas (the organization that effectively controls the Gaza Strip) ``I think it will be used by others,'' he said, expressing his firm opposition.

After this uproar, Mr. Musk went to Israel and met with government officials. Musk is said to have worn a bulletproof vest and toured burnt-out houses in Kfar Aza, a kibbutz destroyed by insurgent attacks, with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, before holding talks with cyber and security agency officials.
