DJI released the DJI Neo , a small and lightweight drone equipped with a camera capable of shooting 4K movies while weighing only about 135g, on Thursday, September 5, 2024. I was able to borrow the DJI Neo, so I first thoroughly checked the appearance of the main unit and transmitter.

DJI Neo comes in three different sets: 'DJI Neo only', 'DJI Neo Combo' which does not include the drone itself but includes three Intelligent Flight Batteries and the DJI Neo 2WAY Charging Hub', and 'DJI Neo Fly More Combo' which includes the drone itself, Intelligent Flight Battery, and DJI Neo 2WAY Charging Hub. This time, I rented the DJI Neo Fly More Combo.

Inside the box were the DJI Neo main unit, DJI RC-N3 transmitter, RC cable, Intelligent Flight Battery, DJI Neo 2WAY Charging Hub, spare propellers, spare propeller screws, a screwdriver for replacing propellers, a USB Type-C cable, and instructions. There are three Intelligent Flight Batteries, including one that is pre-installed on the main unit.

When you remove the gimbal protector, the gimbal camera appears. The camera's sensor size is 1/2 inch, the focal length is 13mm in 35mm equivalent, the maximum still image size is 4000 x 3000 pixels, and the maximum video resolution is 3840 x 2880 pixels (4K). The frame rate for video shooting is up to 60 fps in full HD and up to 30 fps in 4K.
